ESTRATA is a Colombian independent film production company founded in 2018 in Barranquilla by Laura C. Solano and Álvaro Pulpeiro.
We were born betting on international production structures where cinema is understood as something alive that goes far beyond the industrial product.
Our documentary productions have successfully competed in prestigious film festivals such as CPH:DOX in Copenhagen, IndieLisboa, Olhar de Cinema in Curitiba, DMZ Docs in South Korea, DocsMX, Edinburgh International Film Festival, Millenium Docs Against Gravity, Seville International Film Festival or FICX in Gijón. After being released in theaters, these works can be found on platforms such as Amazon Prime, FILMIN, Pluto TV, TrueStory, among many others.
ESTRATA is currently co-producing its first fiction project led by Zuzú Cinema and Miramemira in Spain, Le Plein de Super in France, and Akanga Films in Singapore. The project has already benefited from CNC Cinema du Monde, ICAA, MEDIA, among other funds, and will be shot during the first half of 2026.
